A New York City-based real estate developer, Jason Halpern is the founder and managing partner of JMH Development, a firm focused on property acquisition and development in historic districts. Under his direction, JMH Development has undertaken work on such signature projects as 184 Kent, a 340-unit luxury rental apartment building in Brooklyn. Jason Halpern guided JMH in redesigning the turn-of-the-century waterfront warehouse with a focus on preserving its historic integrity. Through his efforts, the building earned the 2011 Building Brooklyn Award for adaptive reuse and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In leading JMH, Jason Halpern has compiled a team of professionals with comprehensive expertise in a range of areas, including due diligence, strategy, construction, branding, and marketing. He is a third-generation developer whose family has constructed hundreds of apartments and millions of square feet of class A commercial space in the greater New York City metropolitan area.
Apart from his professional pursuits, Mr. Halpern supports the Joel A. Halpern Trauma Center at Westchester Medical Center and volunteers with the education programs MaxScholar Orton Gillingham and Community of Unity.
